Privacy

What we collect, why we collect it and how community submissions are handled.

What AGN collects

Most of the website can be read without giving AGN personal information. If you use our community submission form, you may choose to provide your name, email address, club or player details, links, written information, photos, screenshots or other files.

Why we collect it

We use submitted information to verify scores, fixtures, club updates, Australians Abroad leads, corrections, story tips and other American football information. Contact details are used only when we need to follow up about a submission or respond to a privacy or correction request.

Community submissions and Tally

AGN's community submission form is provided through Tally. Information entered into that form is transmitted to and stored through Tally's service so AGN can review it. Do not submit sensitive personal information that is not necessary for the story, correction or update you are sending.

Photos and other media

If you upload media, only send material you have the right to share. AGN may contact you to confirm context, ownership or permission before publication. Submission does not guarantee publication.

How we use and share information

AGN does not sell personal information. We may use service providers needed to operate the website and submission workflow. We may also disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to investigate misuse, protect the website or address a safety or legal issue.

Retention and security

We aim to keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably useful for editorial verification, corrections, record-keeping or site operations. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid sending unnecessary private or sensitive information.

Access, correction or removal requests

If you want to ask what personal information AGN holds about you, correct something you submitted, or request removal of personal information from our records, use the community submission page and select the most relevant category. Include enough information for us to identify the material without sending additional sensitive information.
